Pinterest Projects that I have actually done...
yes I am trying to actually attempt the many projects I pin (who's with me?)
Burlap Bows

I got the idea from the pin above which linked me to spoonfulofimagination.com! She had an awesome tutorial about how to create the bows she made.

I wanted mine to look a little bit different so here's the How-To:
Cut on that line
(Your burlap will be perfectly straight and have a harder time unraveling)
Glue the edge to the center of the felt
layer the burlap by pulling a small section on top of the spot you just glued down
continue layering and gluing
When you get all the way around it should look something like this.
In order to hide the seam, cut the burlap diagonally where your original ruffle started
Tuck the end piece under the ruffle
Your edge has probably started to come loose, don't worry about it. Just pull the loose string out to give the bow an even edge.
I used Fray Check to make sure y bow wouldn't unravel. I used it on the edges and the end piece that I tucked under the first ruffle.
The burlap should be a little bit darker where you applied the Fray Check. It will dry clear.
Add buttons, gems, or embellishments in the center!
Add a clip to the back to make a bow or to clip on decorations!

I had originally seen something similar to this on theknot.com as a wedding guest book. I loved the idea, but my hubby didn't want everyone walking around our reception with green thumbs... so I gave into the traditional guest book...
But, I decided that this would be a PERFECT activity for my preschoolers as an end of the year activity. I let them choose which paint color they wanted (I used acrylic paint), they dipped their thumbs in, made their print on the tree, and then wrote their name close to their thumb print... Did I mention that they are 3, 4, and 5 years old? They did AMAZING! I absolutely LOVE this project! I have it hanging in my classroom and will continue to do one at the end of every year.
I cut a 13x13 square out of 100% cotton fabric tacked it into a cork board, painted the tree and branches, then my students and team added their fingerprints.
Sequin Styrofoam Ball

I wanted to try this one because it looked easy and fun... in all actuality it was extremely time consuming. I would recommend using a larger Styrofoam ball because by the time I had half the needles in, it was very difficult to push more in without hitting another needle. Super cute, but time consuming.
thank you for the tutorial made my first flower of this kind and love it …. have a great day, happy crafting
